When I first started experimenting with video one of the things I was extremely concerned about was the lack of text on the page. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the results so far.

I’ve also gotten a quite a few backlinks as a result and from many new websites that previously were not linking to me. Sure the controversial angle was bound to draw some attention, but the informational/educational angle worked also. So don’t be afraid to try new things and step out of your comfort zone a little bit.

as long as the content is correct and accurate why not get controversial. It will definitely spur some comments and ultimately text on the page.

I don’t know, that angry spammer dude telling me not to do news got kinda old real quick like. =P

Wordpress has a HUGE audience.

One is negative attention the other is positive, both are relevant.
