Testing Seesmic Video Comments
Posted on May 26th, 2008by Michael Gray in video
So I installed the Seesmic video comments plugin and am giving it try. if you’ve got an account and a webcam leave a comment. If you don’t head over to Seesmic and create one. You can get the plugin and try it on your blog as well.
Youtube may be the dominant player in online video but without competition there isn’t innovation, I wonder if youtube ever would have come up with an idea like this

That’s fukin cool ;). I see we, the WH blog readers, look about the same - I’m a mix of the two guys above ;).
But how would it be possible to search video blogs, how would search engines index the comments

Haha at Andrew’s comment
My concern with video comments is that it may impair the ability of your blog to be “read” from a mobile device… if the mobile device doesn’t support video, or if you’re like me in Canada where there are no such things as a true unlimited data plan so streaming video is not your friend on a cell phone, even if it can support it, then you kinda get screwed.

yea I know about the underline thing it’s some funky css js issue but I’ll get to it, and I agree about not knowing how I feel about having my office online either

Probably not so cool for all blogs. However, I think this kind of “technology” would be awesome for niches like dating (is this person real), military (notes to/from mommy or daddy stationed overseas), etc.
