    I guess it’s easier for Google to bully small companies and shortchange individuals than it is to go back and improve the algorithm. Policies like this are worsening the biggest problem with Google’s index: it’s full of outdated, stale, lame sites that only rank because they’re old. Sure, this makes it more difficult to game the rankings, but it also makes it much harder for new, high quality sites to gain the rankings they deserve.
