So say you’re a traditional SEO consultant and your looking ways to make some of the user generated content work for you and clients. I always suggest YouTube as an option and the response is usually less than enthusiastic. For most people when they think of YouTube they think of crappy lip-sync, America’s Funniest Video rejects and illegal copies of Daily Show and Colbert Report. However did you know that CareerBuilder.com teamed up with DisneyWorld for Dream Job Contest, and they used YouTube videos as submissions. Here are two of the videos below or you can see all of the winners on the CareerBuilder page.
RememberĀ if ever come across that … special youtube video you think will get pulled, you can < a href='https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12984'>download the video … just sayin

Awesome use of YouTube. Thanks for the update Michael.
I love this topic, Michael – would really like to see more examples of good stuff that you’ve seen on YouTube.
You tube certainly works for my SEO Parody site… seriously when you’re thinking of videoing yourself discussing SEO take a look at what not to do… you loons.
Couldn’t agree more, I’ve suggested having customers youtube videos using our products embeded in our product pages.
The customer lets us know when they’ve made a video and I go and embed it on our site, couldn’t be easier. My boss is still scratching his head over this no-brainer.
Good use of youtube. Getting clients to review your product or service on youtube for a discount or even throwing a contest are other good ways
