AdVolcano is a new advertising network who works on a CPT (cost per term) model. Basically you buy for a predetermined period of time for a flat fee, so click fraud becomes a non issue, it’s just a matter of how many conversions does it drive. From a publishers standpoint you get to name your own price. They are a new company so the number of people in the program is pretty thin at this point but that does give you the ability to get in early and get a foothold. Some of you observant folks may have noticed Dave Naylor did a review of them a little while ago and pointed out a few problems. As we were finalizing the sponsorship deal here I was a bit concerned. I emailed my contact who let me know they were working on fixing the problems Dave pointed out. Two things first I think that helped prove the value of paid reviews. Second knowing that AdVolcano is monitoring the blogs and addressing the problems that come up is good thing, and exactly what you want to see from someone you are working with.
