First there was SPAM clogging your inbox now there is SPIT trying to reach your phone. SPIT is an acronym for SPAM OVER INTERNET TELEPHONY. Since there are no local or governemnt taxes for VOIP, and it usually comes at a fixed rate you can call 1, 100, or 1000 people for the same charge, making it cost effective to call more as opposed to less people.
