Since we’re about a week away from Pubcon in Las Vegas 2006 I thought I would run some pubcon related posts this week. First out of the gate, people I’ve never met but want to meet at pubcon.
Ok now anytime you do a post like this where you list people you will forget somebody, it’s inevitable, ok so just deal with it. Secondly if you’re not on the list does that mean you can’t come up and introduce yourself? Nope it’s all about networking so please come up and say Hi! Secondly I can tell you about 90% of the people on my list are people I send/get emails from regularly, but I’ve been laying low and missed a show or two on the way so cut me some slack. So here’s my list
Rand Fishkin, Lee Odden, Greg Boser, Greg Niland, George Kepnick, Rae Hofman, Adam Lasnik, Andy Hagans, Lisa Barone, Brad Geddes, Bill Slawski, Bill Hartzer, Jeremy Zawodny and YOU!
So who do you want to meet at Pubcon? Why not start you’re own “Who I Want to Meet at Pubcon” post , if you do send me a URL and I’ll drop it below. To make things even more interesting tag your post with Pubcon2006.

Darn it, funds do not allow me to cross the Pacific this year.

Maybe next year
These conferences you guys all go on about are just to tease me , right?

Summer Flowers:
I am in the same boat as you - lots of conferences I want to go to, but not nearly enough cash to go to them. But, when we become big time professionals, we’ll be able to go to them all. Additionally, we could hire all of the above in order to create the largest SEO empire in the world…

Ok, I guess I fall into the YOU category.
I’ll be wearing my DazzlinDonna tshirts, so there’s no excuse for you not knowing who I am when you see me. There are sooo many people I want to meet, but I’m happy to meet just about anyone. Since I won’t recognize most people, I’m making sure they can recognize me.
Hope to see you there.

I wonder how many people are going to go to this conference.

I want to meet Scarlet Johanson. If only she would show up…or return my calls.

I won’t be at pubcon but if you ever cross the sound let me know !

Michael, when you say You do you really mean me? You want to meet ME? awwww your the best. Always looking out for the little Me’s out there at their first PubCon.
I got to check to see if there’s a PubCon2006 coming to the New England area!
November 6th, 2006 at 12:09 pm
Hi Michael,
I’ll be there. I’ll keep my eyes open for you (and for the DazzlinDonna tshirts).
November 6th, 2006 at 12:38 pm
I would like to become a less vocal part in SEO and will be avoiding “being seen” much like you once did Michael.
I could be sitting right next to you and you wouldn’t even know. Time to figure out how to make money and there is no reason to share my secrets.
Decided to come out of the closet (not in the gay sense of the word) Michael?

Hey Michael, somehow I spotted you in my PR session last year but we did not meet. It would be a pleasure.

I say we force GW to post a pic of himself so for those that wil be at PubCon2006 in Vegas we’ll know who he is.
Who’s with me?

Once again, Michael…excellent post! You’re on the top of my “who to meet at Pubcon” list
See you in Vegas, M8!

Very cool idea Michael - I love it. I’ll be watchin’ for your shirt too Donna!
It’s really a blast to put faces behind the names we see so often.

You’ve become my new martinibuster. I think it was three conferences (we both were at) before I finally *met* him (unless you count me walking up to a friend in Orlando as a guy walked away and hearing her say “martinibuster is a cool dude” - “What? Where? Fuck.”) It’s amazing that we can all “know” each other, yet still pass in the night at conferences. LOL.

I’m afraid I won’t be there to meet all of you wonderful folks. Still locked in my house until I get the all-clear from my doctors.

I could not care less about that SEO stuff. But I really want to go to Vegas again :S
November 7th, 2006 at 12:39 pm
you want to meet me? do i owe you money?
pubcon is great because it gives me a reason to fly 2500 miles to meet people that live only 25 miles away from me
November 7th, 2006 at 2:12 pm
>fly 2500 miles to meet people that live only 25 miles away from me
It’s kind of like FedEx sending your package to New Jersey by way of Tennessee

Greg………….
“pubcon is great because it gives me a reason to fly 2500 miles to meet people that live only 25 miles away from me”
Same here. If we’re on the same flight out, that will get me laughing.

Ditto, except my journey from from London to PubCon is a 5,216 miles and 11 hours. Memo to self: pack extra Powerbook batteries.
