Greg’s got a cool post on how to protect yourself from DNS abuse. I’m pretty sure this would have solved my IP Mismatching problem. Hey Google Sitemaps how about adding this kind of data to the sitemaps control panel, so we can tell if something is wrong. I mean seeing something like “wonkydomain.com” is currently redirecting to “yourdomain.com”, if this isn’t your domain here’s what you should do to fix it would seem to be important, I mean it would clearly be more useful that the “submit a reinclusion request” everyone gets regardless if they need it or not.

I’ll pass on the feedback, but your IP mismatching problem was a bug in how Apache handles persistent connections, if I recall correctly?

We hit a level that’s pushing the level of my technical understanding, but it would really be nice to a) know something is wrong b) have some idea how to fix it or point someone who can fix it.
