Michael, I think there’s definitely something fishy going on at Digg. I submitted the Google announcement about their Pay Per Action ads today from their blog, the story made it to the front page but was buried right away. And Digg users LOVE Google. My other stories I’d submitted that were buried on a arrival made me suspicious but this one takes the cake.

It’s all about the “Mafia Gangs” that are on DIGG.And DIGG is also removing things he hates from the first page.

Also a lot of it has to do with what time of the day you submit it, and what authority your account has in submitting articles.

For example, I’ve had three of my blog posts in the past week or two receive between 1500-1900 diggs, but I’ve also had a few completely flop, only receiving 10-40, never making front-page.

Honestly, there’s a lot of luck in getting dugg as well.

Michael, this is only Digg. once you were banned from there,
and after we all wrote about it, they decided to unbanned us,
but using this time tricky nasty thing. they burying our stories.
i don’t see Digg survive for long.

Maybe I’m glad you didn’t throw any diggs at my Pipes article. Ha!

I don’t see why Digg doesn’t show who buried an entry just as it does for who comments on it.

I think your are getting buried because you are submitting stories about getting buried on digg. Rule number 1 for getting promoted on digg is to say good things about digg….or at least about Apple or the Wii. Duh ;)

Nick - that’s true to a degree but, as Skitzzo says, even Digg staples like Google are getting buried based purely on the domain the piece appears on.

The Digg Mafia are whacking every SEO blog that dares to try to muscle in on their turf…

So…why is that Digg hates you so much? What did you do to them??
