I’ve been complaining about big sites like eBay, Craigslist and Wikipedia getting more than their fair share of wikipedia luvin’ for quite some time. Today I read a post from Steve Rubel where he notices Wikipedia is dominating brand searches.
While there’s lots of great information out there, wikipedia is also rife with wikiality. In fact the burden for being included in wikipedia isn’t being true it’s just being verifiable (see the wikipedia policy). One has to wonder how long the folks over in Mountain View are going to keep giving Wikipedia way more value than it deserves.
