Spiderman 2

*** SPOILER WARNING IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN SPIDERMAN 2 OR DON’T WANT TO LEARN PLOT DETAILS DON’T READ PAST THIS POINT ****

I saw Spiderman 2 last night, and felt it was great movie. Special effects were top notch. Music was good, not great, but good. I’m a big Danny Elfman fan so perhaps I’m a little to critcal, or perhaps the choral track used in the trailer was so good I was expecting more of the same. Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus was fantastic.

Two things I didn’t like about the movie, first too much time with the mask off. Lets see I’m on a crowded subway train, time to take off the mask. Lots of people around, time to take that mask. Second complaint, I’m not a big fan of the Green Goblin from Spiderman 2002 He looked a little to much like a power ranger on steroids to me. So when Harry Osbourne discovers his fathers secret chamber with all of the Green Goblins original equipment the set-up for the next movie is pretty well in place. We can only hope they choose one of the other villans they introduced Lizard Man/ Dr Curt Connors or Venom the alien brought back to earth by the astronaut John Jameson.
