It’s no secret that soundtracks are one of my favorite genre’s of music. So When I saw the Yahoo Buzz Report on Soundtracks I was excited. However my interest quickly faded when I saw the list of most searched for “soundtracks”:
Garden State Soundtrack
50 First Dates Soundtrack
The Girl Next Door Soundtrack
Napoleon Dynamite Soundtrack
Sin City Soundtrack
Raise Your Voice Soundtrack
Kill Bill Soundtrack
Fever Pitch Soundtrack
Diary of a Mad Black Woman Soundtrack
Hitch Soundtrack
Ok technically those are soundtracks, and technically a Yugo is a car, but c’mon gimmie a break. How about a real soundtrack, something with orchestration, something with a composer, something with feeling, life, and emotion, not just pop star with marquee value! Composers like Danny Elfman, John Williams, Howard Shore or Michael Kamen. If you want to hear what I’m talking about cruise over to Streaming Soundtracks, they have over 1800 albums with over 32,000 songs that you can listen to via internet radio. Here’s the amazingly cool part, you can make your own requests!
