With any luck the scrapers will pick this one up and I’ll get some linkage back for the term Shoemoney

At the very least this should create some interesting linkage patterns on touchgraph.

Had an idea the other day that if I check Shoemoney’s backlinks I can come up with a few very interesting linking ideas…. Well you beat me to it hehe

I’m pretty sure I can. I won’t have time in Google though. If I take Jeremy’s money, how can he fill the gas up in his giant vehicle?

I see you’re going forward with a “hub-style” posts, expecting the outbound links to carry the day. I’m using a radically different approach. It will be interesting to see where we end up.

What would be an easier way to get a $1000 in the name of shoemoney would be if everyone posting to Wiki gave me $3 per application on new submissions they make in his name in the next few weeks

Okay, here’s the progress after 12 hours.

Number 23 in Yahoo and number 41 in MSN. This might be the fastest service I’ve ever had. Really shows you the power of RSS :)

So far I’ve invested exactly 25 minutes in this campaign. I’m also learning not too many people have heard of Shoemoney.

well being realistic not too many people have heard of shoemoney (no disrespect intended)

Depends what methods you use but I can think of 3 easy ways to rank top 10 that will last for no more than 5 days buts it worth more than $1000 to share that SM

I am a “natural born cynic” and shoemoney is not a charity – so step back one step

If I focus on one keyword and see everybodys methods not all will be right but $1000 aint that much

Aside from the fun, the alternative 1 hour a day over 3 weeks following certain people/sites and plotting along a chart was the best SEO lesson I ever learnt

Examine site
Examine method
compare and contrast

every time you compare launch one “throwaway” as like college you can study anything until the nth degree

I am probably sounding like a gloomy git but as I said I am a natural born cynic

I bet this is possible and rather easy. Just split up the 1000$ and tell every person that will link to your website that you’ll give them 1$ of that 1000$. You get 999 inbound link with the text shoemoney as the keyword and here you go, you win. Yea, you don’t win 1000$, but you at least show him you’ve been able to beat is contest.

I hope this help someone here, and if you do win using my idea, please mind sending me a thx email ;)

Nice work for this thread. You’re already at number 4 in MSN GrayWolf. At this pace, I’d say ShoeMoney is imperiled. Tom R is right, if worse comes to worse, you can always bring in friends and neighbors to link ;)

9th in Google at 9:14 05/25/2006 (canadian google).
8th for the .com Google

You guys should buy shoemoney.net or .org and redirect it to here haha.

Things are going to get harder when you come near the objective. Going from 3 to 2 to 1 is going to be some interesting challenge I want to see “solved”. Might help us to understand what Google as priviledged in order to make them #1.

Not for long :)

Well… The contest is over.

Hmm I still need some weight for MSN :)

I see I have no love from Graywolf in this page :)
