Promote Your Blog, Part II - Blog Directories

Web directories are a funny thing. If they are industry or topic specific they are usually pretty safe and you can list your site. If they exist for the sole purpose of out-smarting search engines, or making the owners rich, unless you’re Yahoo! it will get busted eventually.

So as I stated in part I (promote your blog), I was able to get a site listed on the major search engines within 7 days of domain purchase and registration. How’d I do it? We’ll one of the things that helped was getting it listed in some blog directories. While I’m not going to give away trade secrets here, a little guerrilla kindness from time to time is a good thing. So here’s my listing of blog directories. They are all free, some require reciprocal links, others don’t. Visit them, look around, as long as you don’t get any weird vibes submit your blog.
