DandelionsI read Mivox’s blog about dandelions, and being on the losing end of a never ending battle with my front lawn I have a lot of empathy for her predicament. However I remember when we took my two girls to the arboretum for a picnic 2 years ago, well I’ll let them tell the story …

Dear Dad,
Thanks for taking me and my sister on a picnic to the park today, we had lots of fun. We really liked it that you and Mom let us run around without following so close behind, sometimes kids just need some freedom too. Well we appreciated it so much we picked all these nice yellow flowers for you and Mom, there sure were a lot of them growing all over the place, I hope nobody gets mad. We also liked it when you showed us what a wishing flower is and how to make wishes. Hey Dad wanna’  know a secret … I wished you would take us to the park again we had lots of fun today!

Heehee… Hey, if Jeremy’s kids would pick the dandelions for me, I’d be thrilled! ;-) Heck, I’d even put them in a vase on the table for the kids to admire.

How sweet. I showed my daughter how to blow them in a field when she was two. She came back to our yard and picked the three little ones there. It wasn’t long before I had like a hundred.
