So we’ve cleared up the algae bloom in my freshwater tank and ready to start restocking it with fish, and I go to check the hours of the petco nearest me and find they aren’t listed online:

[petco.com] and [www.petco.com] have no results:

however [site:petco.com] shows 516,000+ pages of strange subdomain results (mostly reviews) considering Petco has annual gross revenues of almost 2 billion dollars a year [petco via google finance] I’d consider them a big player.

When you search for just [petco] you get results, and when you click more results from petco.com you get [ site:www.petco.com petco] Not exactly sure what to read on that but it’s something I’ve never seen before.

I wonder if they are still accepting adword ads from Petco?

OK, let me ask the silly but painfully obvious question:

If you know the site is petco.com, and you know petco.com has a store locator, why were you searching for it in Google in the first place?

If I’m not searching for something specific with complex query I often try to do things like “regular people”, sometimes it turns up interesting results.
