Million Dollar Home Page Stats

Seeing how it’s almost the end of the year and the Million Dollar Home page is now almost completely sold out, I can share some stats. I had a site I was willing to sacrifice in case it blew up in my face, so I bought a box for $100. I put up some adsense on it (no I’m not the Mesotheleoma guy but I do like his style) and I made my money back within the second month. Here’s a peek at my traffic:

I will tell you that 95% of the traffic came from the million dollar page. Sometimes you have to be bold.

I know the Mes guy (and so do you GW) but won’t out him, as that’s for him to do if he sees fit.

I do know that when he showed me the MDH ad he put together on day one at the SEOROadshow I was dumbstruck, amazed and impressed at its simplicity and style.

If only I had the foresight to be one of the 1st on the bandwagon !

If you can get the job done, with that little work and maintenance, more power to ya.

Hi Michael,

The last pixels for Million Dollar Homepage have hit $152,000+ on ebay.

The listing has 150 bids and has had 293,000+ page views.

BTW: Theres some pixel ad owners selling their ads on Ebay, and it looks like they are going to get some good prices. The site is a “soild” PR7.

Except for the fact that Matt has already said they killed the ability to transfer green pixels from that website ;-)

I saw this when there was still a lot of space left. I wasn’t bold and to be honest, this is the first time I’ve seen anyone who is truly happy with traffic from his purchase.

I’m curious as to what your box looked like and what it linked to.

There’s an advantage to being a first mover and picking out a prime box location. You also have to send the traffic to some higher paying adsense Keywords pages
