As I mentioned in my Creative link building ideas post sometimes it’s the silliest things that get the most links. For example Iwillknot.com has gotten tagged in del.icio.us by over 600 people (see links). The guy video taped someone tieing a dozen or so different knots and posted them on his webpage. If 10% of those people linked to him on their own website or blog that’s 60 free one-way links! How long do think it would take to send out emails and get 60 free one way links? Now how long do you think he took to tie the knots, edit them and post them on his website?
