Since it’s the last week in the year I thought I’d share some stats from this blog with.

Now lets take a look at some numbers here’s a shot of the number of visitors:

That dip in March is do to a data loss, not a traffic drop, so I’d estimate the traffic falls pretty much right in between February and April. Looking at the Alexa data we see a massively spikey graph. I started the year at around 40,000 and ended at about 7,000.

I’m 99.9% sure that I’m not really that popular and it’s the webmaster effect. Next up are my feed burner stats. Currently it fluctuates between 1,100 and 1,700. The peaks come when I post multiple times per day or have 5 or 6 posts strung together in a row. The drops come when I take a few days to actually rest or do some real work ;-)

Next up is a look at my referrers, with the obvious spammers filtered out. While Google is clearly sending me the majority of the traffic, all of the other sources combined is hardly something to ignore.

I wandered in at the beginning of the V7N SEO contest via Google PPC ad. I’ve read every post since then. The quality gets better all the time. Thanks for the great info. Looking froward to 2007.
