OK so things should be working here again and I’ll be getting back on a regular posting schedule. I revised the template going for something much simpler than the web2.0 stuff everyone else is doing. I’ve gone from dynamic looking URL’s to SE friendly ones. If you want to make that change yourself without mucking stuff up try to use Objection Redirection by Dax, it kicks ass! Upgraded to wordpress 2.0.2. I’ve also added a new footer in the feed, but I’m itching to write a wordpress plugin myself to foil some of the scraping going on. Anyways let me know if anything’s broken for you, or something’s missing and I’ll see if I can clear it up.

Awesome job on the upgrades. I noticed your ads are by adbrite. They look extremely relevant…as compared to my Yahoo Ads. Was the contextual network you use, evaluated during your redesign? I’m considering switching to adsense. What was the deciding factor for you to choose adbrite?

Ah yes, I was hoping someone would try dax’s redirection, is that guy brilliant or what? (New interview on seobuzzbox.com) ;-0

M – this post is broken: http://www.wolf-howl.com/seo/htaccess-%3f-rewrite/

Other than that, lookin’ good!

>re adbrite
You can’t run adbrite in contextual mode if you use google adsense. Those are people who are paying to advertise here. Yep advertising placement was a serious consideration when I was working on a new layout, still needs a little tweaking but I’m relatively happy

>Dax
Yep he’s a smart guy, and looks pretty crazy too. Yep the %3F thing get’s butchered in the dynamic url rewrite

What plugin are you using for the ads between posts gray? (looks good)

Michael Gray May 30, 2006 at 11:46 pm

It’s a php script I put in the template, it get’s triggered if the post is more than 3 days old. I want to put a minimum length requirement in it just looks hokey on short posts. If ya want a copy just drop me an email.

Cool new design, I hate change, but change is where it’s at, and if you ever find out what “it” is, let me know.
