Google Sitemaps Stats … Sorta Data … Sorta Scary

I use Google sitemaps on a few different websites I run and noticed something a little funny. When you log into the new console one of the stats you can see is top search queries. Something you should know is these are only Google search queries. In Google’s defense they don’t claim sitemaps is an analytics package.

However more importantly I think this clearly shows Google is merging SERP click through data with other systems. Tinfoil hats may be quite fashionable this fall for webmaster and SEO’s.
