When you view satellite images in Google Maps you can see the building, however I just noticed you can also see the building outlines in standard view. For example here’s the Long Beach Westin Hotel where SMX local was held. Look at the building behind the letter A. You can see a curved building which is exactly the way the Westin hotel is shaped. Shouldn’t the headline read “Google Maps Adds Building Outlines”
I don’t see an ads Michael. I do see that google did Add new building outlines. Sometimes spellcheck doesn’t do it all.
This will be useful – especially in Atlanta where it is sometimes difficult to tell where you are even with the help of Google Maps.
My first thought was – will this apply to Google Mobile Maps as well?
It appears so.
A linguist might tell you that “Google Maps Ads Building Outlines” is grammatical enough as far as headlines go, but suggests that ads placed on google maps have mutated into intelligent, self-sufficient lifeforms that aren’t out to take over the world but rather spend their time drawing lines around themselves.
