As far as I see the:
http://search.lycos.com/robots.txt
http://www.lycos.com/robots.txt
addresess, both redirect to their repspective index pages.
Isn’t that Lycos’s fault ?

And sorry for the double post, but in their search results pages, they don’t have the noindex meta tag either.

Paying attention to the SERPs for Danica Patrick now, eh?

Matt, so what’s the deal with Graywolf’s question ?
Is Lycos screwed up ? Are they allowing their SERPS to be indexed ?

Hmm…

Looks like Lycos themselves have actually included that particular page (a specific lycos search) as a link in one of their content pages.
Additionally, Michael, it seems a wee bit interesting that you failed to note that (at least from what I’m seeing), that particular result doesn’t even show up in the top 25 for a Google search for that person’s name. From at least a cursory glance at the top ten results, ’tis lookin’ pretty good to me

Sheesh I thought all the cool kids had the results set to 100?
Not to be outing someone but on the data center I get there are some “oops”, nude and other less than desireable results

Hey Michael, if there are “nudie”-type sites showing with Safe Search on, that’s something that we definitely want to tackle ASAP. But something tells me you’ve turned Safe Search off… for, uh, research purposes.

what is the scoop with Danica Patrick.

Lycos likes to spam search engines with serps, still. Daughter Hotbot links to tons of search results and for some reason gets away with it (or am I missing something?).
