Are they gone yet …. good! Okay sometimes you need to check the backlinks of your competitors to see what they are doing and how they are doing it. Google recently broke the backlink command showing you pretty much a random sampling of links. However you can use Yahoo to check links, although the engine is slightly behind Google chronologically, as they update less frequently, it’s usually good enough. the MSN search engine is currently in beta release so no telling how effective or ineffective it will be.

You can download the Firefox Backlink Extention that will aloow you to perform this easily. It will allow you to spawn seperate tabs for Google backlinks, Yahoo Backlinks, and MSN backlinks, singly or all at once. In addition it displays Google Page Rank and Alexa rank.
