   GW : to handle comment spam, there are other really neat WP plugins that are transparent to users :
   - stuff using javascript such as WP Hash Cash or WP-SpamQuiz
   - stuff using centralized database such as Akismet
   - script to ban most spambots from your website such as Bad Behavior
   - …

   I’m using Bad Behavior + Akismet. BB blocks about 9000 requests a week, and every single spam comment that goes through it has been catched by Akismet so far.
