Valleywag Crosses the Line

You know I’m all up for a nice blog bitch slap now and again, but sometimes there are lines not to be crossed. If someone’s a celebrity or public figure it’s fair game. If someone’s publishing a blog or website and has some method of defending themselves it’s also fair game. However IMHO Valleywag’s ‘outing’ and comments about Toby Coppel’s wife strikes me as just bad form. Picking on Marissa and Larry was fun and all because the two of them exist online, and have avenues to talk back if they desire, but picking on someone’s wife not because she did anything noteworthy online, but because you think she’s hot, lets get a grip OK?

PS The picture of the two of them in France looks like someone fired up a copy of photoshop, the lighting is pretty inconsistent

have to say their posts on it pretty much finalised my decision to unsubscribe.

I don’t find it particularly offensive but think it steps close to the line. If anything I find it more boring than anything. I was hoping it’d be more a ‘useful’ gossip page (ie what companies are developing etc) than a personal gossip page.

It’s probably more interesting to someone living in the region who knows people personally but for me its a waste of a few minutes per day and I’m outta there. :-)

Yep they are on my short list too, may not stay on board if things keep on the current track.
