If you’re a del.icio.us user and you use Firefox one extension you really should use the delicious firefox extension. It puts a neat little delicious box and tag icon in your browser address row.

Something I discovered last week is if you highlight text on a page and click the “tag” button it appears in the notes field for your delicious bookmark.
While we’re on the subject of tagging I wish we could come up with a workable solution for grouping multiple words. For example most people tag something about “New York” with either [newyork] crammed together or [new] and [york] separately. the words [newyork] crammed together doesn’t mean anything and is hard to decipher. The words [new] and [york] separated each mean something completely different then [new york] as a phrase. I’ve adopted the [new.york] implementation and like it but over on Newsvine you’ll see things like [new-york] which is just makes the whole thing much more complicated than it has to be.

You know you don’t really understand how much you customize your browser until you have to use someone else’s browser and they don’t have all the little shortcuts you use everyday.
