I gotta say 5 days in the Bahamas is good for the soul, and helps clear out the mind. However 5 days in the Bahamas is not good for your email inbox, bloglines subscriptions or waistline. If you’re looking for a place to stay in the Bahamas I can recommend the Westin at Lucaya Beach (no aff) it’s clean, filled with lots of friendly people and has some really amazing infinity pools. If you’re looking for snorkeling in the Bahamas (no aff) I can recommend Paradise Cove on Deadmans Reef. A full day of unlimited snorkeling (pictures to follow), with lunch for $35 per person. It’s run by a nice polite and friendly family, and no pesky timeshare salesmen around. They have deep water reef for the more experienced swimmers and a shallow reef perfect for the kids. Although running into a 2 foot long Barracuda while swimming through sea grass will make anyone pause.
