I’m spending more and more time on MyBlogLog and one of the features I’d really like to see is categories. Yellow Page Optimization is not really that meaningful when I’m trying to be social. For example wouold you want to look for other blogs about say public relations or blogs that start with the letter P? I know the myBlogLog folks are around and checking things and making improvements hopefully they’ll catch this post with some ego surfing.

What I would like to see (and I recently blogged about this) is a “Recommended Reading” section. They have all the subscription data, now they just have to mine it and tell me what other blogs I’m missing out on.
I was thinking along the lines of Amazon’s recommendation system. “Subscribers to this blog also read…”
I like both of these suggestions. Agreed that the alphabetical sorting is pretty useless. I’d be worried that by categorizing too much, people might not ever get out of whatever niche they’re in. Perhaps though cdc’s suggestion in combo with greywolf’s might circumvent that.
I’d like to see them get some servers that can keep up.
No need to use categories
Scrape the tags from the feeds for each blog and add it into a mashup. Categories are far too limiting.
OK, I have a suggestion to curb some of the spam crap that’s been coming up there lately. How about, you want to list your blog with a working link to it? You have to have the MBL widget on your site.
