Boy it sure is a good thing we have wikipedia around so Google can use it to provide relevant results like these, I mean it’s not like the wiki is given and algorithmic advantage and ranks for phrases it has no right ranking for or anything.

Although it is interesting taking note of the stemming of “jacking” to “jack” because the word “jacking” isn’t even on Jack Thompson Attorney page which is the preferred page in the clustered result

eh Matt I’d like to report that as a non quality SERP

My only complaint is from when I find Wiki ranking for products, they should stick to educational stuff.

It is really annoying when you make and sell something online to have an empty wikipedia page outrank you. Try to add your products website to the page and a socialist editor will remove you quickly.

Not everything in life should be free Google, some of us have to earn a real living!

So how long till people realize that since every link in the SERPs takes them directly to Wikipedia they might as well just go there first and skip the stop at Google?

That is how I search Wikipedia:

And here I thought you were going to report that your wikijacking attempts were working, or to show an actual wikijack. :) There, I just inserted two synonyms (now three) for wiki jacking in your comments. ;)

I guess that’s why Wikipedia is such an http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=authority

lol it’s just Google’s horrible hegemony - Wikipedia is so connected to Google with Google donations that this is just another case of Google being total a-holes. The other type of example concerning this is the whole Google toolbar update. When in the hell will that occur and how does Wikipedia outbeat even government sites connected to CERN??
