So I tried out the new ‘map it’ function on Google 411 service, and had some issues. I live in Wantagh, which as the Lisa can verify is actually pronounced Juan-taw (as in Tawny), however Goog 411 kept giving me Montauk. I finally had to key in my zip code and Google pronounced it as whan-tag, um ok whatever. The map it function did send me an SMS but it was a link. Not sure if its a cingular AT&T thing or Motorola Razor thing but the link in the SMS message was unclickable.

So how about you have you tried it and gotten it to work? Any idea what I’m doing wrong? I have to figure since I’m somewhat technologically savvy and can’t figure it out how is the man on the street going to make it happen.

I’m sure you’re not alone. I’m sure about half of Hawaii won’t work. Goof luck getting information for these cities. :) Kaaawa, Kalaupapa, Kaunakakai, Kapaa, etc…

Ok I’m not there anymore, but I used to live in Bellmore, and had a Wantaugh zip code. I was right on the the border. Near 106.

Sorry for the interruption. I couldn’t help reminiscing.

Of course as you can see I’ve been away long enough to have forgotten how to spell Wantagh correctly.
