Be honest don't you want to know what's behind those headlines, I clicked it. I suspect this is a result of unusually high CTRs in a content network program. All the ads are high impact as opposed to a typical content match ad headline. When reading email, it's tough to get someone to follow a rabbit trail, with out a killer headline. With the potential high number of impressions, be curious to learn if they actually convert at a profit.

Yo, I have been seeing that silly coffee ad in my gmail for months now, and have clicked on it just to see what kind of outfit is wasting so much money on Adwords.

Memo to CoffeeFool: If I'm looking at my automated reminder from netflix, about a movie that nothing to do with coffee, and i see you in the No. 1 spot, you are wasting a ton of money.

This kind of thing is the secret to google's $500 share price... let amateurs buy ads.

You may be leaving them up for observation... but if you want, you can get rid of the ads in GMail with the CustomizeGoogle FF extension.

That Coffee Exposed ad appears at the top of nearly every one of my messages. Maybe I write about coffee a lot, they have an enormous max CPC, or both. The kicker? I've never clicked it.
