If there was ever any doubt that spam has invaded tagging and technorati it was disolved last night. I logged into technorati and this was the list of tags I was presented with:

Hmm a bug methinks.. it was showing duplicate tags.

Unless the spammers were using some kind of spooky hidden characters or something..

Maybe it is a bug, but Tag Spam is a reality.

Tag spam is awesome. Seriously. Complain all you want, but if you aren’t tagging on your blog you’re missing out on traffic.

Interesting..

do people use tags though? I mean, do you actually “browse” the tags on technorati etc. or just use them to glance at what is popular?

IMHO they’re one of those features that web2.0 sites put in for the sake of having them.

It’s interesting to me that Yahoo! is in the list.

I get some traffic from tags technorati tags so some people must use them.

Why wouldn’t Yahoo be in the list? After their reorganization news came out yesterday.

So, essentially, if I start blogging more about Holdem Poker on my AdSense Spam blogs which are registered and tagged via Technorati, I’ll get more traffic from Technorati?

Loren goes all in ….
