This isn’t a problem that’s native only to Google Reader, but gosh darn it Google how about fixing something that really is broken …

Google Reader (100+)

right in the middle of the screen see those feeds in blue from the Superficial, see them duplicated again right below, very annoying. Want to know what’s even more annoying the fact that I already marked them read at least once before if not more than once. I’m sure there’s some technical gremlin at work adjusting modified or published timestamps, but damn it RSS is supposed to be saving me time not making me waste it, so if this doesn’t stop somebody’s going to get dropped.

Google Now Reporting Anchor Text Phrases…

Hurray! Finally, you can get a report from Google of the top anchor text phrases used when people link to your site. Google Webmaster Central has just announced the new feature. But didn’t Google already report anchor text data? Yes, but only keywords…

What Google Feedreader really misses is a search option (how ironic).

Yeah this is really annoying me, happening exactly the same for me…

Duplicate feed entries is actually quite a hard thing to solve, you can’t check the date of the article because quite often sites double post articles (and alot don’t include the date in there anyway), you can’t do it based on the title because alot of feeds use the same title for each article. And you can’t do it based on the title/content because alot of sites re-post minor corrections to articles later on.

Obviously I don’t know if this is whats happening here, but we found its usually a problem with the feed rather than our reader..

    IMHO :-)

It could be worse… at least it’s gossip you’re getting a double dose of instead of someone’s shitty regurgitated feed. :P
